CELEBRATING PEACE, THE FEAST OF LIFE
PRESIDENTIAL ADDRESS TO THE NEW YEAR PARTY OF
A.P.P.L.I. NIGERIA CHAPTER, HELD ON SUNDAY, JANUARY 9, 2005

The knowledge of your gathering today to celebrate Africa, the Future Land of Peace has given me a bundle of joy.
Though it is not physically possible for me to be present among you at this time, I assure you that I am with you in the
spirit. To start with, let me salute every member of A.P.P.L.I. Nigeria for the great work that you have done to promote
the idea of grassroots peace in Africa. Your hard work of the last 15 months, which has resulted in the formation of over
twenty peace clubs and peace rallies is commendable and worthy of celebration.  I am not alone in appreciating your
good work; all the members of A.P.P.L.I. world-wide sent their greetings and good wishes.
Africa, the Future Land of Peace is a vision of a new mission of hope, not only for Africans, but for the entire humanity.
Natural and man-made disasters, wars and violence, the force of evil, hatred and general unpeace are being
experienced all over the world.  Many have therefore given up the hope of peace on earth.  However, every now and
then we are reminded that God’s love abounds to bring humanity peace and abundant life, and this is what the birth of
Jesus is all about. I am therefore thankful that God has shared his vision of future peace to humanity with me and praise
all of you for believing and supporting the vision.
The humble beginning of A.P.P.L.I. may present some challenges that we need to overcome, but I am assuring you that
we have been promised an exceedingly great future (Job 8:7). Let us always remember that though the mustard seed is
the smallest of all seeds, but if planted in good soil, cultivated, and nurtured, it will become the largest of all the garden
plants. Through your efforts, A.P.P.L.I. is rapidly becoming a household name in Nigeria and we can see the fruits as
many grassroots communities, religious and academic institutions, governments and authorities, are embracing and
cultivating the new lifestyle of peace in their daily endeavors. A.P.P.L.I. is a prayer, preaching and practicing ministry. I
will therefore remind you of my words to you during my visit last August/September that A.P.P.L.I. has been appointed
as intercessors for peace in Africa.  As intercessors, both the past and the future belong to us. That is why we can
confidently proclaim Africa as the Future Land of Peace. Thank you. Shalom. Peace. KAYERO!
