GIVING THE CHILDREN A PEACEFUL FUTURE
APPLI/AFPLI PRESIDENTIAL MESSAGE ON THE OCCASION OF THE
AFRICAN CHILDREN OF PEACE CLUB VISIT TO ROYAL FATHERS
IN IGBE-IDIMU
Today the African Children of Peace Club, Egbe-Idimu Chapter,
are gathered at the palace of their king to appeal for peace. These
children are representing children all over Nigeria where communities
are experiencing violence. They have to come to appeal to the royal
fathers of Egbe-Idimu and Agodo Communities to bury the hatchets.
The children have come to demand from the leaders of today, a
peaceful tomorrow, which can only start now by the royal fathers
resolving their conflict non-violently.
When religious, community, and political leaders quarrel among
themselves and fight, they forgot that the children are the worst
affected. The adults fight as if the children did not exist. When conflicts
are unresolved and they escalate to violence and civil wars, the
children and the youth of the nation are the ones who bore the brunt.
Their education is affected, their health is affected, they suffer hunger,
they sustain injuries, they lose their parents, and they die, losing
completely, any hope for their future.
At African Foundation for Peace and Love Initiatives we have designed
and developed a number of concepts and initiatives that will promote
proactive grassroots Peacebuilding for Ethnoreligious and
Ethnopolitical harmony. Our peace programs, activities, and events are
targeted at the children, the teenagers, the young adults, the elites,
and the community leaders such as royal fathers, kings, traditional
rulers and chiefs in the community.
The scripture says God has ordained praise and power from the mouth
of babes. When the children cry unto God, God will hear and God will
answer because the children are innocent. The hands of the children
are clean. The hearts of the children are holy. The thoughts of the
children are pure. God hears the people whose hands are clean,
whose hearts are holy and whose thoughts are pure.
The children are prepared to intercede for Africa, the Future Land of
Peace because the future belongs to them. The leaders should stop
mortgaging the future of the African Child for a morsel of meal or for a
loaf of bread. The leaders of today should work and co-operate
together to build a prosperous future for the children. Politicians,
governors, senators, and all the honorables and professional leaders
should labor for Africa Future Land of Peace.
We want all the communities to have their own chapters of the African
Children of Peace Clubs. We call on all the members of the public to
support the African Children of Peace Clubs with money, logistics,
education and health.
Let us give peace a chance. Let us put violence to shame. There must
be peace in Nigeria. There must be peace in Africa. There must be
peace all over the world.
Shalom. Peace. KAYERO! KAYEROJU!
